Jaime Babb is a writer, lapsed physicist, and current PhD student in science and technology studies. She was born in Winnipeg but currently lives in Toronto. Along the way, she has also lived inVictoria, Montreal, and Dundee, Scotland, and at least part of this novel was written or rewritten in each of these cities. Her hobbies include playing the violin, staring forlornly into space, and wondering what being a “person” means. She is currently engaged in an heroic, but ultimately doomed, battle against the laws of thermodynamics. (She is, incredibly, a much happier person than this blurb makes her sound.)
